iSwap.pk enforces a strict device compliance policy, not as red tape, but because a marketplace full of stolen or tampered phones stops working for everyone honestly using it. Here's exactly what's not allowed, and why.
Devices You Cannot List, Sell, or Swap
Stolen or lost devices. Any handset reported lost or stolen on law enforcement databases, or flagged on PTA's DIRBS portal, cannot be listed under any circumstances.
CPID or software-patched IMEI handsets. Devices where the original factory IMEI has been overwritten using unofficial tools are prohibited — and describing one as "Official PTA Approved" is treated as outright fraud, not just a compliance issue.
Cloned or duplicate IMEI hardware. Phones carrying an IMEI that matches another active device elsewhere are not permitted, regardless of how the listing describes them.
Bypassed or cloud-locked devices. Handsets with a bypassed iCloud lock, Google FRP (Factory Reset Protection), an MDM profile lock, or a carrier network lock, without the original owner's authorization, are prohibited.
Counterfeit or replica handsets. Fake or clone devices built to imitate an original manufacturer model — a counterfeit iPhone or Galaxy clone, for example — cannot be listed as genuine.
Refurbished devices with fraudulent claims. A device with undisclosed aftermarket parts (a non-genuine display, a bypassed battery health chip, non-functional biometrics) advertised as "100% original" is a compliance violation, even if the underlying hardware itself isn't otherwise prohibited.
What Is Allowed
Genuine, honestly described devices — including non-PTA phones, older models, and devices with disclosed non-original parts — are completely fine to list, as long as the listing accurately represents what's actually being sold. iSwap.pk's rules are about honesty and legality, not device age or condition.
How to Check Before You List or Buy
- Dial *#06# to find the device's real IMEI.
- Text it to 8484 to confirm its PTA/DIRBS status.
- Compare the phone's actual IMEI against anything printed on the box.

What Happens If a Prohibited Device Is Listed
Listings involving stolen, cloned, or IMEI-patched devices are removed immediately, and the associated account faces a permanent ban. In serious cases — particularly stolen or cloned devices — account logs, including IP address, phone number, and location details, may be submitted to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and PTA.
