Every listing you post moves through a clear status, visible from My Account → My Ads. Knowing what each one actually means saves you from guessing why a listing isn't getting messages — or isn't visible at all.
The Statuses You'll See
Active — your listing is live, approved, and visible to buyers in search and category browsing. This is the normal state for a healthy listing.
Pending review — you've submitted the listing, and it's awaiting moderation before going live. See How Do I Post an Ad? for what happens during this step.
Paused — you've temporarily taken the listing down yourself. It's not visible to buyers, but nothing about it is lost — resume it whenever you're ready.

Expired — the listing's active period ended without being renewed. Expired listings stop appearing in search but aren't permanently deleted.
Sold — you've marked the item as sold, removing it from active browsing while keeping a record of the completed listing on your account.
What to Do With Each Status
- Paused → Resume it directly from My Account → My Ads whenever you want it visible again — no need to recreate it.
- Expired → Renew or repost it if the item is still available; check that the details (especially price) are still accurate before doing so.
- Rejected → Fix the specific issue shown and resubmit — see the rejection guide for exactly how.
- Sold → Leave it marked as sold rather than deleting it outright — it keeps an accurate record without cluttering active search results.
